Florham Park Mold Remediation Saves Laminate Flooring
When SERVPRO techs performed mold remediation in a local Florham Park home, their goal was to limit the disruption to the home as much as possible. Avoiding cross-contamination is a big part of the setup. The techs carefully place plastic barriers over vents, doorways, and items that do not need mitigation in the room. This inhibits the potential for airborne mold spores to migrate to another area. The techs used air movers placed on adhesive paper to protect the laminate floorboards to bring down the humidity and make the family room unhospitable to mold colony growth. As seen in the After Photo, until the remediation completes, the vents and doorways remain sealed off from the rest of the house. The application of antimicrobial sealants inhibits any regrowth in the mitigated areas. Techs inspect the ductwork and clean as necessary to complete the process.
